'He who would climb to a lofty height must go by steps, not leaps.'
The life of the Christian servant is one of struggle, toil and hardships, a strain towards renewing the likeness of God. This cannot happen by the repetition of a 'sinner's prayer', or a mere acknowledge of Christ as Saviour, but must be built upon the solid rock of faith, the walking (with frequent stumbling) of the Way of the Cross.
